Apologies for being a little behind in getting CS 2.5 out the door – all my time’s been taken up with paid work and personal problems [sigh]. I won’t bore you with the latter, but it’s done and dusted now, I hope.
Anyway … whilst I get back to CamStudio I just found this article from LifeHack.org revealing the 20 free applications that will increase your productivity … and CamStudio is #9 … w00t!
I’ll have Demo Video #2 to you soon.

Hey CamStudio! Waiting very patiently for the new version. I’m relaunching my site next month and would really like to incorporate help videos all over the site. The new features sound important enough to hold off on creation until it comes.
Is it a week away? A couple days? A month?
Appreciate all your hard work on this killer app!

Do you have any update on when 2.5 will be available? I’m going to need to do screen captures in a couple days and the “motion when click” feature is something I’ll be wanting to do.

Hello, I just wanted to add a thank you to your latest blog post here. Your software (which I only just discovered yesterday!) has been a saver of money. I can finally get some of my up coming work done, including a few game trailers I planned to make too.

Camstudio is the best software. I collect a bunch of free software and have explored several free video screen recorders but not doubt camstudio is the best. THANK YOU Nick.
By the way any idea when is camstudio 2.5 going to be released??

I have just come acroos a piece of software that might interset the camstudio community:

Bazaar is a distributed version control system available under the GPL that reduces barriers to participation in your project.
It allows you to work as a group or independently witin a group and still collaborate with each other.
This might be very usefull to camstudio to progress and move on.

Well as many of you see this program is great. The codec that comes with is also great for superb compressing at such a high rate. Even for the slow computers like mine, this program still works significantly perfect. Although other companies are starting to make copies of the Camstudio product I hope Camstudio still stays free.
