Okey Doke – you wanted it, so here it is:

Right now, members are manually approved so it might take 24 hours-ish to be granted access.

I’m still getting to grips with the Vanilla forum software so you might see some changes as new features and functions are added.

    Hi,

I’ve been using 2.51 over the weekend, what a great easy to use piece of software.

Would someone tell me what’s the best settings to use when recording, I’m using Dai’s settings 150,66,15. I’ve been reading that these settings are better.
    5 , 200, 200.

    Cheers Kev.

Just download the software. Initial test are great. I want to use the software to record at certain times of the day based on entries in a SQL table and have the files saved at a location specified in an SQL table…has anyone done that yet?

CamStudio version 2.00 After trying to convert a large .avi to swf and abandoning I ended up with a file in Program Files\Camstudio called ~tyesPCM.wav which is 514MB. Can I delete this? There is also a ~tnonPCM.wav only 74MB. ~tnonPCM.wav plays and turned out to be the soundtrack. Just letting you know.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to set the record time for camstudio? what i mean is if there is a streaming video that is 27 min long and you dont want to sit at the pc for the whole thing, is there a way to set camstudio to record the stream for like 27 min 30 sec once you select your region and then stop on its own ? If there isnt a way to do that does anyone have any idea on how to modify the code to make it do so ?

Using Camstudio 2.00. Last week I recorded my voice from my pc microphone whilst I was doing a screen demo for YouTube, then when I played back the recorded avi file with Windows Media Player it was fine, got clear picture & sound, no problem. But now I only get the sound, no picture, just black screen. Can any of you clever guys advise me?

    Hello,

I recently recorded a short video in cam studio, about 20 seconds long. It was in AVI format. I went to open it with WMP and Real Player, the audio played but no video, So I opened it with the Playerplus player. However when I sent it to a friend he was able to open and watch it on Windows Media Player. I have Vista Premimum he has XP, any ideas why my Windows Media Player and Realplayer will only play the audio and not the Video?

I am new to computers and have been trying to watch video tutorials recorded on camtasia and none of them will play all the way through. Is there something I can do to watch the whole video?

    Hi from France,
I’d like to produce a tutorial.
When I record live sessions with Cam Studio 2.5, the produced files are .AVI files extension. Theses files are not readable by any Magic video prgm I bought (De luxe 2005 & De Luxe 15+)
However, Windows Movie Maker can read these files without any pb…!!!!!

Can anyone tell me why and help me ?

    Regards.

    Hiya from Australia,

I have only had CamStudio for a few days and I have loved the results I have manage to produce so far. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I use Premiere to edit film, and the LZO codec works well so that I can do this.
Please see my first results posted in YouTube HD, showing my Second Life artwork:
