@retseem

You can certainly download the TSCC for free, but you can't use it to encode unless you have a licensed copy of Camtasia Studio.

Something to bear in mind.

Cheers

I find that Camstudio has more visible options, and control over the screen, then any other program that I have used. Although Fraps is pretty good for game recording, it's pretty good over Camtasia for settings and such. I've only used Camtasia for a bit though.

Camtasia may look good in recording, but when started it makes the computer performance down the well while recording a video. This is really lame for slow computer uses like me. You would have to wait in videos and keep waiting for a program to launch into action. This raises file size and you may lose the audiences favor of watching.

I prefer Camstudio since speed doesn't matter =).

Lately when I have been recording a long session (20 mins maybe), when it is time to compress, it tells me cannot find the file.
I am recording from Live Messenger.
What is going on? How do I get around this problem?
