    Hi,

I started using Camstudio for work a few months ago and love it. It runs fine on my laptop but I can’t seem to get past an audio issue on my PC. Everytime I install it and test the audio from speakers I get an error “waveoutgetselectfailed”. I then do a manual test and it picks line 1, however I still get no sound. Can anyone help? I’m using Soundblaster live and the drivers are up to date.

    Thanks!

    Hi Nick,.. CamStudio friends,..

I found CamStudio some weeks back.
I’m looking to introduce Video-training on our
Website for Clients new to having a Custom or
Professional Website and those who are fresh to
    the Net.

After using it, I loved it! I loved it so much
I actually located the Resell-Rights for the
Program. Which now allows for formating for
    Firefox etc. (Internet-Marketer’s version)

(Not trying to sell here… Just showing Luv!)

Nick, Let me say “Thanks” for setting up this
Blog for CamStudio. It’s a shame this great little software almost went underground!

    Thanks!

    Hi YouAndMe

Thanks for the great feedback …

I too have CamStudioIM - and was trying to find a programmer to implement that bugfix and feature for months …

Ah well … good luck to them …

But, if you think that’s good … wait until you see what’s coming soon …

I’ll be emailing the Update List shortly …

    Cheers

    Nick :)

    Hi alscew

Sorry to hear you’re having problems …

That error does seem to be related to specific soundcards …

I don’t have a fix for you at the moment, but hopefully soon …

    Cheers

    Nick :)

I have tried CamStudio v2 to capture screen activity during live video conferencing. In the first couple of trials it clearly recorded all activity both incoming and outgoing audio conversations. However, recently, it has only captured my side of conversation, not the incoming side. The incoming side comes in garbled and very unclear.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

    Hi mountainview2864

By any chance, have you installed a new webcam or a piece of software that controls your audio inputs …?

    I would try this …

Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Audio tab …

Click Volume for the Recording Device

Select Options, Properties in the new Recording Control window …

Make sure you either Stereo Mix, Mono Mix or What-U-Hear is ticked …

Then select that source in the Recording Control window by ticking the checkbox under the relevant slider …

Close all windows and you’re done …

    Maybe that’ll work …

    Cheers

    Nick :)
