Something Wonderful Is About To Happen …

April 23rd, 2007 · 7 Comments

Some good news and some bad news …

First, the Bad News …

CamStudio 3.0 development has been put on hold …

There are a number of reasons for this but mainly because I don’t feel there’s a significant improvement over 2.0 for it to be a whole new version …

Now, the Good News …

Some of the new features from 3.0 have been transferred into V2 and so now I can announce that after nearly 4 years …

A new version of CamStudio is about to be released …

Say Hello to Version 2.5 …

I’ll post more soon …

Cheers

Do you have plans to include customizing the player controls in flash? That’s my only pet peeve — the appearance of those controls.

Thanks, and great job with CamStudio!

    Hi Brandon

I am having some new control graphic sets created - eventually I’d like to add a “picker” option so you can choose between them …

But when 2.5 launches, you will have to manually swap the graphics out …

    Cheers

[...] It was reported a few days ago that we will finally see a new version of CamStudio screen recording software! This is great news as the program has not be updated in a few years now. I’ve tried to run version 2.0 on Windows Vista and it unfortunately will not record anything but some chunky multi-colored fuzz. If 2.5 remedies this- that will be wonderful. As for any other new features, we will have to wait for an official announcement. Very exciting news. [...]

Thanks for keeping this great piece of software up, Nick!

Thank you ‘bnight1988′ for taking the concern on helping ‘Nick’ make the Camstudio project ( 2.5 ) with the feature that was missing, now added. You will be appreciated greatly in this community of Camstudio lovers and fans.
