I've sent you a couple of e-mails Nick, and out of curiosity, do you check your HelpDesk e-mail? I'm a C++ Visual Coder, so I was wondering if I could help, drop me an e-mail. :P

Hi Sunstone

The error message you're getting is because the CamStudio Lossless codec hasn't been signed by Microsoft ... it's perfectly harmless, although for legal reasons I can't claim that the version of CamStudio you have is free from viruses as it wasn't supplied by me ...

My advice would be to wait a few days ...

I have acquired CamStudio IM version and began the install (after reading the accompanying PDF). Got a message saying that the product had not passed (or been submitted - not looking at it right now) the Windows logo test and might harm the computer. With visions of the thing exploding in my face, I ceased the install. Do others get this message? I'm on Windows XP on an HP, relatively new, computer. Having killed a couple of other computers trying to de-spyware/adware/trojan, etc. them, I simply cannot risk "hurting" this one. Any help? or assurance that I can safely install?

[...] I had some problems getting CamStudio to record a screencast in Windows Vista despite it looking like it worked. The output would be a video that is all scrambled and switching codecs resulted in the same mess. The CamStudio blog has announced that version 3 of the software is just around the corner with a target release date in January of 2007 (it has been 3 years since a new version was released) but no details are given about what new features to expect. I’m crossing my fingers that Vista-compatibility is on the list. [...]

Hi Nick,

First of all, congratulation with the program, I have read that the program was from another company and that you will continue to work with this program CamStudio. I have read your blog and I read that you will come with a new version of CamStudio version 3. I wanna know that you will put in the version from CamStudio, that you can connect CamStudio to stream live video on your website, so that the people can see you what you are doing right know. Will the new version of CamStudio come with this feature, in the next version??. If you put that feature on it than it wil be verry interesting for me and
for other people. Let me know, and KEEP THE GOOD WORK, This program work good and work fast. I have no problem with it. Work fine.

I can't wait for the next verion of Camstudio.

Have a nice day.
