I use XP accessibility magnifier. You can move it around. I normally capture DVD resolution and start the magnifier and set into a corner if I think that the text or something will be to small.

This is also available in Vista.

They also have a keyboard if you want to demonstrate key function on the keyboard.

You can have all that open before you video capture and just move it into you capture area, and move away when you don't need it.

I just found another magnifier that I tested with CamStudio 2.5. It is called OneLoupe and is available at: http://www.softwareok.com/?seite=Microsoft/OneLoupe&language=english
It seems to work very well overall although there are some interferences with CamStudio. If CamStudio is not recording, then OneLoupe uses the arrow keys to size the magnified window, and the number keys (at the top, not the side) to set the level of magnification. These don't seem to work if a recording is going on. However, you can preset them before recording and they will be remembered.
The program does not need to be installed and is said to run from a USB key. It is only 24KB!!
I also had to use the F9 key to stop recording, since I could not bring the CamStudio window back.
