CamStudio 2.5 and Counter-Strike 1.6
Hello there.
I downloaded CamStudio 2.5 Beta 1 (because compared to Fraps it's free and not so laggy). So, I want to record a demo which is played with coL Demo Player but instead of recording the demo, CamStudio records CS's background image (http://magicalharsh.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/counterstrike20condition20zero.jpg)
Any idea why CamStudio doesn't want to record the demo?

PS: Same problem, when I try to make a screenshot with the "print" key.

There is another "not so laggy" issue: I think these game-capture programs somehow hook into the DirectX clocking to make it possible to fetch certain frames. Or am I wrong? Tryed gamecam already? Don't know... but I think its free as well. http://v2.planetgamecam.com/?locid=news
I'm not sure about this, but have you tried disabling hardware acceleration in Windows?
Cheers
