Terry's First FREE Live CamStudio Webinar - Watch the 2hr Replay here - sign up for future webinars

edited February 2012 in Announcements
Edit - You missed the May 28th webinar, but I just created a sign-up form at AWeber for my website so people can sign up for notifications of webinars, and the people signed up there will also receive the links to the replays.

I also have a general newsletter sign-up (on the same page), but this list is just for the webinar and replay notifications and nothing more.

Old announcement -

Everyone:

I just bought into GoToWebinar so I can give presentations, and what better subject to do my first one than on CamStudio! So, register at this link here (for free) and come attend if you can! https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/202133646

We'll start at noon EDT and go at least a couple of hours - "till we are done" - so come prepared to take notes! (Using Xvid codec at 1280X720 you can record the whole darn thing if you've been following my videos and posts! I'll be recording it to share, perhaps, or will hold others in the future, so despair not if you cannot record it.) See you there!

If you haven't already...
Get Version 2.0 here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/camstudio/files/legacy/
Get Version 2.6 here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/camstudio/files/stable/ (recommended!)

  • I'll be out of town and away from my computer when you're doing the webinar, but I will definitely want to watch the recording afterwards. I'm currently using Version 2.0 with my Windows 7 (64-bit) computer, and would like to see anything on how to get Version 2.6 running smoothly with Windows 7 (especially for capturing gameplay footage from a DOSBox window, preferably with simultaneous microphone narration).

    Catherine,

I just finished the webinar, and GoToWebinar is converting the recording right now. I'll let you know if it comes out Ok - and I'll upload it to my serve if it did and share the link here and via my website. http://screencasttutorial.org

I'll have another one either in a couple of weeks, or perhaps mid-week this coming week. (Next weekend I'm out of town for several days, but definitely will have one when I get back!)

Here is the replay at YouTube. It is two hours of fun and amazement (though impromptu, it has a ton of good info in it). You can watch it here or at YouTube, but full-screen it and watch it at 720 to see the screens. This was NOT recorded using Camstudio, but rather with the built-in GoToWebinar recorder, that uses highly compressed .wmv compression settings. Actually, YouTube made it look a little better by "fuzzing out" all the compression artifacts!

Click the YouTube logo to watch this there, and select 720p full screen for best results.

    Enjoy!

  • Dead links?
  • dusf,

Thank you for catching that - I had to rebuild my site after a database mishap and had changed the URL. All fixed now!
