Help please! Can't launch CamStudio
I have tried ALL DAY to download, install and start CamStudio. I have tried several different versions, and even have tried using 3 different internet browsers, just in case that was a factor. Everything appears to go just fine, until I try to start it, and every time I get this error message: "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect."
Can anyone PLEASE make a guess as to what is wrong, and tell me what I can do to fix the problem? My projects are at a complete standstill until I can get CamStudio to launch!
Thanks so much!
Linda

Well, I do use Jing and think it is (mostly) just fine (I cannot get the webcam to sync in the pro version at all - lip-sync always falls apart - but I mostly use it for short, quick training vids to clients.) The time limit for Jing is five minutes, though, whereas you have up to 3 hours with CamStudio (using Xvid).
There are other solutions as well - see my list of available tools at my site:
