Cannot install Camstudio, Error code: 14001 "Createprocess failed"
I was installing Camstudio and got a warning from my Nod32 Anti-virus. Yes it was the fake one.
I restored my laptop to yesterday and got rid of it.
When I install the "real" Camstudio" I get the error code 14001. Createprocess failed.
I have tried several installs to no avail.
Is there and additional program (codec) that has to be installed to make this work?
Can you help?

I'd say just get a fresh copy and try again. Run as an administrator if in Vista or Win7.
For a codec, go get the 32-bit version of Jawor's Xvid.

Did you install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) (Eng) ?
The package is required but not included.
