1.6gb avi file created by camstudio but I cannot open it
1.6gb avi file created by camstudio but I cannot open it. There is not audio or video when playing it .
The 1st recording was fine but this is the 2nd shot and it turned out a big failure.
I noticed that after stopping the s/w , last time ( when all was well ) it did some compression and then created the file .This time after i stopped it - it did NOTHING . it created a ~temp.avi file in windows\temp directory ( xp).
and that file is 1.6gb but non usable. Can you manually do that last step so it becomes usable .

Sometimes you can rescue using VirtualDub as described in this:

But probably in combination with your audio portion, the filesize was well over the 2gb limit, and this only works for edge cases.
