New 64-bit Compatible CamStudio Codec V1.5 Installer - Download Link
This has been tested on a few 32-bit and 64-bit machines and worked perfectly each time but let us know in this thread if there are any issues.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/camstudio/files/legacy/CamStudioCodec_1.5_Setup.exe/download

During the install process, the installer will:
a) attempt to detect and remove any incorrectly installed previous versions of the codec (including any codec files in the application directory) and reinstall V1.5 of the codec in the correct locations for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows machines
b) replace any correctly installed previous versions of the codec with V1.5
This installer comes with a complete uninstall, so you should be able to cleanly remove the codec from system if you want.
Cheers
Nick
P.S. FYI, currently on VirusTotal.com, 44 out of 46 AV programs give the codec file the all-clear but two are generating false-positive results ... be assured no shady stuff is going on and as soon as we get a complete 100% all-clear, this P.S. will be removed.
P.P.S. The PC version of TrendMicro-HouseCall gives the codec file the all-clear - so it seems to be a VirusTotal.com specific issue.
P.P.P.S. Symantec confirms it is a false positive and will be removing it in the next definition update.
