Webcam only shows black screen with Camstudio

Has anyone been able to get the webcam to work with Camstudio? I have a Lenovo Yoga laptop with its built-in Easy Camera

Yes, that is a common problem. I went through three different computer/webcam combos before finally getting a Logitech C920 to be the one that worked. (For me...)

IF you absolutely must do screen capture with webcam and cannot get CamStudio to work for you, try http://obsproject.com -- another free solution. I have several videos on using it in this YouTube playlist. I hope you get it all working!
