Crash Problem
I am having the crash problem that was discussed a while back. That is, CamStudio starts fine, but, as soon as I start recording, it crashes. Has any more information on this problem been posted? Also, I am using Windows XP. In case it makes a difference, I am running a screen reader (JAWS for Windows). Is there anywhere to get an older version?
Comments
Either get the older version from SourceForge (2.0) or get the most current beta version, 2.6c from the "Next" folder there.
Only download from this page to be safe.

You may have to go get a fresh copy of the Microsoft C++ 2008 runtime libraries, which is the version CamStudio 2.6b requires. The current version is SP1

2.6c is basically 2.6b with a couple bugs fixed, from what I can gather.

For the new version to run, you need to go to Microsoft and download the 2010 version of the Microsoft C++ runtime files. The older 2.6b above used the 2008 version.

You may already have the 2010 version installed on your machine, but perhaps not on an XP installation.
