CamStudio/Windows Media Player problem

I recently downloaded CamStudio for a school project and it installed fine, or so I thought. When I finished recording, it opened up Windows Media Player and a dialogue box popped up saying that it had encountered a problem when trying to play the file. It then had that I could either cancel or click "web help" I clicked web help and it had me make sure my microphone was properly installed (which it is) and update windows and try again. I did that and it still will not work. Any suggestions??

    Usually problems arise from either the region not being even numbers for the width and height, or the video being too long and breaking the AVI-1 spec imposed 2 gigabyte file size limit. Can you give me more information on your codec chosen and the region you used?
