In due course a new forum will be available to help support newer CamStudio versions.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

CamStudio won't re-start unless you shut down computer - fix!

edited October 2013 in Announcements
You might be closing it incorrectly (though this is easy to do as it is confusing).

When you start CamStudio recording, the program drops into the system "tray" next to the clock, but the flashing window shows as an item in the task bar at the bottom. Lots of people get thrown by this, right-click on the "flashing" thing and hit "close" there - but that doesn't close CamStudio! It has to be closed by double-clicking the system tray icon (very tiny!) and then hitting stop and then quit.

This behavior will be fixed in an upcoming version as soon as we get other bugs squashed!
