Help Please

I did have CamStudio working for a few days. Suddenly it stopped working. I deleted it and reinstalled. It still won't save videos. I'm using the lossless codec. I tried suggestions given to others. I made folder in my documents and tried that as temporary folder. It still won't work. My hard drive is 75% free. All files I create are read only, but I can't seem to change that. Can anyone help me? I'm new with computers so you will have to be patient. thank you.

  • Have you tried recording a small test video, say 10 seconds long?

Are you able to save that and play it?

  • No. Nothing saves.
  • Two questions:

    1) Which operating system are you using?

    2) Do you access your desktop via an account login (passworded or not)? If so, is it an administrator or a Standard User account?

    Cheers

  • I have a dell with Windows xp3. It's my personal computer. I don't log in and I have administrator privileges.
