pink and purple lines across avi video

i recorded me playing a computer game called Lose Your Marbles, i started out with the desktop that showed fine but as soon as i opened the game. all it was is a bunch of lines across the avi file mostly pink and purple. it wasn't like that while playing the game while recording but the avi file is like that. what went wrong with the avi capturing? like i said the picture of desktop is fine but not the capture of the game.

    If this is the game I'm thinking of, it's a DOS-based one, right?

    I don't know if CamStudio is able to properly record games playing in a DOS window.

    You could try disabling hardware acceleration in Windows to see if that makes a difference, but I don't think it would.
