Error reading a frame

I installed camstudio and really love it for what it does, but I can't get rid of Error reading a frame message which stops the recording and dumps everything previously recorded. I have tried different settings, different formats, but to no avail. Is there a known fix for this message ? Any workarounds ?

I'm using camstudio on XP and trying to record desktop and audio.

    Can you post more detail about codec(s) used, recording settings, dimensions, etc?

    I've tried using the AVI codec, audio set to microphone's default and full screen size recording. Later I changed the settings as in this youtube video tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kiug3H3c4gk

    and also tried the xVid codec but still got the same error:(
