Camstudio's video capture pixelates, lags and everlaps video?

edited August 2010 in Support
I dont understand why nobody knows about this, but whenever I record a video, the frames in the video are similiar to this: http://i747.photobucket.com/albums/xx118/mgunit_bucket/rsd.png

How do I fix this?

  • MG-Unit,

You are over-compressing, from the looks of that image. Higher compression always produces more and more radical compression artifacts.

What compression are you using, and what are the settings of your Quality slider and those from the "Configuration" button in "Options==>Video Options"?

I'm not sure what compression I am using, but the quality is 90.

EDIT: Oh.. right.. lol. Now I just need to figure out how to fix the lag.

    MG-Unit,

Take a look at these two videos and let me know if they help:

    http://screencasttutorial.org/02/optimizing-your-pc-for-camstudio-12

And try the CamStudio Lossless compressor (from the drop-down list in Options==>Video Options)
