the usual audio problem question

edited September 2010 in Support
Hi

I see there are audio problems with Camstudio from other users.
There is no sound, but I do have a picture.

I saw something about downloading a driver. My computer is a new
i7 with Windows 7 (Dell). Should I BEGIN with this, or check something
else before trying to download at Realtek?

  • stephen,

Do you want to record just your mic? That should be easy using the "Options>>Record Audio from Microphone" checked/selected and the "Options>>Audio Options" settings set up.

Also, check out baron's solution for recording from Stereo Mix including the mic and speakers in the top sticky post on waveout.

"Here's the fix: Right click on the MS speaker icon in the task bar, select recording devices, single left click the Mic Input then select the properties button... go to the listen tab and select listen to this device."

Check around here - there are many posts with solutions (use search above and search the comments themselves).
