Having trouble installing lossless codec..

Having some trouble installing any lossless codec on my computer. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. I tried manually installing the codec for the stable version, and also installing the 2.6beta where a lossless codec is included but still I have no option to select the codec! I restarted..reinstalled to no avail. Anybody know what could be wrong? Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks!

I had something like this happen to me recently on an XP machine. This is odd stuff that nobody understands, as it is an anomaly. What I had to do was install the 1.4 codec first, then run the 2.6 installer including the 1.5 codec install, and it suddenly appeared.
Have you tried the earlier 2.6 builds, r264 and r273?
