can only save as swi file

After I stop the recording, I can only save as an swi file. I only want to save as an .avi file. I am not sure why this is happening.

    On the right just above the name CamStudio is a short line of text in white with a black background. Does it say "Record to SWF" or "Record to AVI"? If it doesn't say AVI, you can change it with the icon just below "Effects" in the menu on the home page (assuming you're using version 2.6).

    You might also check all the settings in the "Options" dropdown menu.
