Need help using CamStudio with Cyberlink Power Director

After capturing some video with CamStudio, I am trying to edit and render it in Cyberlink Power Director. When I try to render it, it renders 28 seconds, then freezes. That is not happening on other screen recorder programs I am testing. Does anyone here have experience with Power Director who may be able to shed some light on why that is happening? I'd like to use CamStudio if possible. But if this problem can't be overcome, it is a show-stopper for using CamStudio.

Which codec are you using? I recommend AGAINST using the CamStudio Lossless Codec for this use - try Jawor's Xvid - the 32-bit version (or both 64 and 32 bit if you are using 64-bit media players on a 64-bit machine, but CamStudio needs the 32-bit version.)

Also, try these video converters to see if you can rescue what you've got already (perhaps converting to WMV format or something.)
