Using custom codecs like Microsoft mpeg4 codec, is it possible ?

I'd like to use an installed mpeg4 codec for recording. But it won't show up in the compression settings. I'm using win 7 32/64. Can anyone help me ? :-( Thanks Ritch

Use an Xvid or x264 codec - they both use the MP4 encoding even within the AVI container that CamStudio still uses. I like Jawor's Xvid for its HD720 profile.

A 32-bit version is needed for CamStudio, as it is a 32-bit application.

Also, I can't believe it that I didn't know that there was another release available in 2.6cbeta. It shows both ffdshow and Xvid on my machine.
